The MacBook Pro is highly susceptible to broken screens and cracked glass above the LCD Screen. IResQ specializes in replacing broken glass screens on all models of the MacBook Pro. Even if you broke both the outer glass AND the LCD screen underneath, iResQ can repair that as well.
Bought it from seller Vectus. The display I received was the original samsung variant (LSN154YL01001). Everything was brand new and original. The airport/camera cables even had the same tape in place to be used during cable routing. I took my time replacing the screen assembly 30min-1 hr. Handy people could do it in less time.
If you are going to open your RMBP, it would be a good idea to use compressed gas to remove the dust from your laptop while you are at it. One of the best packaging I've ever seen to protect the display in shipping. Tip, to remove the screen from the box, removing all the tape is the best way to go. If you want to see the brand of your display you can do it going to terminal and typing ioreg -lw0 grep 'EDID '. Perfect quality - I see no difference between this and the OEM screen. It was also packaged with care to protect the screen during the shipping process. Replacement takes about 30 minutes using the ifixit guide, which is available for free online.
I used the Kingsdun 14 in 1 Precision Screwdriver Repair Tool Kit (also sold on Amazon) for the replacement. If you decide to use that kit, make sure to buy a T8 screwdriver separately, as it is not included in the kit. Also, for those of you wondering, 13' = 13.3' - to check screen size, click the apple button in upper left hand corner, then click 'about this mac', then click the display tab. This review is not going to be a thorough one. But I will get back to it after a few months of using it. The product was received in mint condition and the package was really the best I have seen from any seller at Amazon. I assembled this using the iFixit guide for the late Macbook Pro Retina (Late 2013 model) No dead pixels so far.
ISight camera is working perfectly. Everything works, even the ambient sensor works great.
I will need a few months of testing to give a better feedback. But in general, for anyone who has any qualms about buying something from this new seller, I would say.
Just go for it. The packaging also came with a hard shell case, which is great! Received the screen as advertised, in reasonable time.

Installed the screen with no difficulties and it does work nicely, but: I did get one with the red 'inverted C' in the lower left quadrant of the screen. I've not studied it closely yet but I believe this to be in the pixels and not some type of ink ON the screen. Others have said they have tried 'removing' it with no success.
The formation does not look at all random to me. Not a perfect C, but very distinctive. Located approx 2' in up from the bottom and 2' from the left side; sort of a 'high use' area. It is approx 5/16' in size. Anyway, the screen is still very usable.
The C is very noticeable / obvious whenever the screen background is white. It can become very faint with darker.
Really happy DIY project!! I used a hair dryer to carefully soften the original screen and it pulled off without to much trouble, mine was already broken so i had some small bits of glass floating around (make sure you have a clean area to work and maybe put down a disposable towel as a work surface).
I saw a few reviews about adhesion problems so I made sure to remove all the old tape and then prepped with an adhesive promoter pad (3m 06396) so I had no such issues. I did manage to get two specs of dust on the inside and there's a line where my broken screen imprinted the LCD, but that is not this product's fault. This is the correct replacement for any pre retina macbook pro. If you have a cracked retina pro, just replace the whole lcd housing unit you will save yourself a ton of time and effort which inevitably will equate to loss of money. Time is money! Anyhow, if you just have cracked glass and not a whole lcd grab a heat gun and use a razor blade to pop the glass off. Do sections at a time and be carful with the rubber black bumper that will melt and deform.
Try to position the heat gun as accurately as possible. Once removed use 90% isopropyl alcohol with a q tip to remove any residue on the aluminum housing that previously glued the lcd into place. If you get some on the screen wipe off very quickly its strong stuff! Make sure once the screen is removed to put.
